Welcome to My Blog

Since selling my first painting, I have been busy with my oils and brushes. Joining the local North East Ct Art Guild has given me a chance to meet many of the local artists and also the opportunity to show and sell my art at various venues in the area. I have set up two slide shows below, one of my current paintings and the other of recently sold works. As you look thru the paintings you can pause on any of the paintings for a closer look, the title, size, and price. All paintings come framed and are priced individually. For the best view I find if you click on any painting it will enlarge, then you click full screen, and they will come up almost to size. If you come to my home gallery in Woodstock you have the option to select your own frame which I can reframe as you wait. I have three color choices available. Most all of my framed paintings are in the $150 to $300 price range. Send me an email for questions on any one particular painting. kmcf@earthlink.net

I also enjoy working on commissions. I will take your pictures or come out to your place and take my own and then return to my studio and put your place on canvas. $200-$300 range

Enjoy the Show!!

2011 Artists' Open Studios

November 25, 26, 27 and December 3 and 4. 2011 My gallery is #51 on the map this year. Please stop in and say hi. You may also call to set up another time to visit if the weekends above do not work for you. The Artists' Open Studio tour is a free, self-guided art adventure. Whether you are an avid collector, just curious about fine art, or an emerging artist, this is an incredible opportunity
for you to meet Northeastern Connecticut's painters, sculptors, fiber artists, photographers, potters, jewelers, glass artists, metal smiths, wood-turners, and other fine artists. You have your choice of over 70 artists who work in a wide variety of mediums and styles, and live in an even wider variety of studio environments: From busy downtown lofts, to country barns with lazy rivers rolling by, to in-home cozy studio spaces where life and work share their energy. While many of us experience fine art by visiting art galleries and museums, we rarely have the chance to meet the artists whose work we admire, and be welcomed into the spaces where they nourish their creativity and produce their art. And, it gives artists the the opportunity to connect with you and to share their passion and expertise – a sure cure for some of the isolation artists often feel while they work away in their studios day after day.
